Hi from Australia! I am 20 weeks pregnant and considering getting vaccinated with Pfizer the only vaccine available to pregnant women in Australia. What are your thoughts around pregnancy and vaccination?
1. We're in Portland where kids are thankfully masked, sitting 3 feet away, hepa filters in classrooms, etc. Based on what we know - would you vaccinate your young kids? (*Once FDA approves)
2. I listened to your episode on The Doctor's Farmacy which was one of the best analyses I've heard. Any chance you have plans to do another episode there or elsewhere? Would love to hear your updates anytime you do any!

In your interview with Dr. Mark Hyman you said 4 things would need to occur for Herd immunity to happen: 1) A sterile vaccine 2) A vaccine with lifelong protection 3) It can't have an animal reservoir and 4) 90% of the population would need to be vaccinated. In this article you say that among the vaccinated they are near herd immunity. How is that possible without the other factors you spoke of? Thanks!
You didn't mentioned immunity from having had Covid 19 in the past. I'm curious to know your opinion on how sero-immunity plays into herd immunity. Thank you
I would have commented on the data from Israel showing rapid disappearance of vaccine protection after 6 months, to essentially zero. Which will make the whole vaccinated/unvaccinated division a lot less clear cut that you are making it out to be.
In the US the current administration and the CDC have painted themselves in a corner and it will be very hard to get started on the third doses until it's too late for it.
